Tropical Depression Marilyn enters PAR
At 9:30 AM today, the Tropical Depression "Marilyn" has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
TD "MarilynPH" spotted east of Luzon has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility, at 9:30 a.m. It was given a local name “Marilyn,” the 13th tropical cyclone in 2019.
Based on severe weather bulletin, the tropical depression is not expected to hit any part of the land but there is a possibility that the forecast track may change.

“Marilyn” is also expected to leave PAR on Sunday should it maintain its speed and movement.

Residents of these areas, especially those living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to floods and rain-induced landslides, are advised to take precautionary measures, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates, especially the Thunderstorm or Rainfall Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings to be issued by PAGASA Regional Services Divisions.
Sea travel is risky, especially for small seacrafts, over the central and eastern seaboards of Visayas and the northern, eastern and southern seaboards of Mindanao due to potentially rough sea condition.
"MARILYN" is less likely to make landfall in the country throughout the forecast period.
Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "MARILYN" was estimated based on all available data at 1,355 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (17.4°N, 134.8°E).
Strength: Maximum winds of up to 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h.
Movement: Moving Northwest at 25 km/h.

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next update to be incorporated in the 4 PM Public Weather Forecast and in the next Severe Weather Bulletin to be issued at 11 PM today.
