#WalangPasok: Class suspensions, Wednesday, September 18, 2019
Issued 5:00 PM today, the THE LOW PRESSURE AREA EAST OF BATANES HAS DEVELOPED INTO TROPICAL DEPRESSION "NIMFA".
Between this afternoon and tomorrow (18 September) afternoon, frequent light to moderate rains with occasional heavy rain showers during thunderstorms will be experienced over Central Luzon and Occidental Mindoro. Residents of the aforementioned areas, especially those living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to floods and rain-induced landslides, are advised to take precautionary measures, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates, especially the Thunderstorm or Rainfall Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings to be issued by PAGASA Regional Services Divisions. Cloudy skies with scattered light to moderate rains and intermittent heavy rainshowers during thunderstorms will prevail of Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas.
Sea travel is risky, especially for small seacrafts, over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon due to potentially rough to very rough sea conditions. Meanwhile, most of the other seaboards of the country will remain moderate to rough.
At 4:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area west of Central Luzon was estimated at 95 km West of Iba, Zambales (15.2°N, 119.1°E). This weather disturbance may hit western coast of Central Luzon in the next 48 hours and may eventually dissipate within the circulation of "NIMFA"
