#WalangPasok: List of class suspensions for October 3-4, 2019

Some schools and local government units have announced class suspensions for October 3 and October 4 in celebration of World Teacher’s Day.

The World Teachers' day provides the occasion to celebrate the teaching profession worldwide, to take stock of achievements, and to address some of the issues central for attracting and keeping the brightest minds and young talents in the profession.

The Department of Education (DepED) in coordination with the national teachers' day coordinating council (NTDCC) and the national Teachers' Month Coordinating Council (NTMCC), will celebrate the National Teachers Month (NTM) from September 5 to October 5, 2019, with October 5 as the National Teachers' Day (NTD) and World Teachers Day (WTD). This year's NTD theme is "Gurong Pilipino, Handa sa Makabagong Pagbabago."
