Pag-IBIG Fund offers 3-month moratorium on all loans

Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG Fund is offering a three-month moratorium on all loans to its member-borrowers to help them defray their expenses during the “enhanced community quarantine” being implemented by the government in its fight to contain coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Pag-IBIG Vice President Kalin Franco-Garcia said borrowers of Pag-IBIG Fund Housing Loan,Multi-Purpose Loan, and Calamity Loan with payments due on March 16, 2020 until June 15, are eligible to apply for the moratorium.
“This is only for members residing in Luzon and in the National Capital Region as this is where the enhanced community quarantine is declared,” said Franco-Garcia in an interview.
The Pag-IBIG official said Pag-IBIG was not closing the possibility of offering the grant to members in other areas such as in Visayas and in Mindanao should the need arises.
The VP said members needed to apply for the 3 month moratorium on loan payments if they want to avail of the three-month moratorium on loan payments.
