The Department of Education (DepEd), through Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn M. Sevilla, in her Facebook post, Thursday, March 19 shared an update regarding the early release of March and April salaries and the status of Performance Based Bonus (PBB) 2018 for teachers.
Sevilla in her post said that the priority of the department is to release the March and April salary until the end of the month for Regular, Plantila and consultant employees of DepEd.

"Sa isinagawang pagpupulong ng DepEd Mancom kahapon, na priority nila muna ang sahod ng ngayong buwan at para sa Abril na maibigay bago matapos ang buwan ng Marso sa mga guro at Regular, Plantila at consultant employees’ ng DepEd," said post.
Sevilla also shared that the grant of PBB 2018 for teachers is still pending and its not yet determined when it will be released.

“Pls remember that Deped workforce is almost a million already and processing of compensation/benefits takes time; we need to proactively process and PREPARE documents until it reach the Banks for remittance to employees accounts. We need to take into consideration the urgency of tasks and at the same time follow existing financial policies and guidelines," Sevilla reminded in her post.

"Sec Briones has relayed the direction and instructions to all RDs yesterday in the telecon/meeting. DepEd has to take care of the welfare of our employees, with an advice to spend their salaries and benefits with prudence and to prioritise health needs specially at this challenging time,” said Anne Sevilla.
