NTC orders ABS-CBN to stop its operations
The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on Tuesday ordered ABS-CBN Corporation to stop operating its television and radio broadcasting stations nationwide after its franchise expired last May 4.
NTC gave ABS-CBN 10 days to "respond as to why the frequencies assigned to it should not be recalled."
The entire network, including its subsidiaries, have around 11,000 employees as of 2017, according to the Securities and Exchange Commission. (SEC)
