Earlier, Sen. Christopher Bong Go, Chairman of Committee on Health, urged the Department of Education (DepEd) to reschedule the opening of classes from August 24 to October 2020, saying the agency needs more time to prepare teachers, parents and students for different learning modalities under the new normal.
Huwag nating isugal ang buhay at kaligtasan ng ating mga kabataan," said Go in a statement
.
DepEd still needs to finish printing self-learning modules for students, while teachers and learners also need more time to familiarize themselves with the shift to distance learning, said Go. READ MORE
